We’re GY6 — a design and build studio that helps startups go from zero to something worth shipping. From MVPs to full-scale launches, we design, develop, and deploy the things most teams only pitch decks about. Built by founders who know the difference between motion and progress.

Designers. Builders.
Problem solvers on a 4-day clock.

Our Story

GY6 started with two people who couldn’t sit still. Tashfeen, a veteran UI/UX director with an unhealthy relationship with design, user problems, and the occasional shitpost. Itmam, a guy who somehow finds joy in spreadsheets, cash flow models, and car reviews. After years inside SaaS companies and agencies (getting exploited), we built GY6 to work the way we wish those places had — smaller, sharper, and more human. The name comes from a simple phrase: Got Your Six, military slang for we’ve got your back. Cliche but that’s how we genuinley work — quietly reliable, no drama. Just teams backed up and projects brought home in one piece. Since then, we’ve collaborated with many YC early-stage founders and global startups, helping them move from idea to impact. Our team’s fully international now, but the mindset’s still the same: stay curious, build with care, and leave things better than we found them.

About Us

GY6 is a design and build studio where creative direction meets product logic.
We handle everything from brand identities and MVPs to complex web builds — the kind of work that makes startups look grown-up and products feel effortless. We’re also testing something different: a 4-day workweek built on focus, not hours. It’s not a gimmick — it’s an ongoing attempt to build a studio that gets better results without burning people out. Our culture is straightforward: do great work, respect the craft, and don’t take yourself too seriously. The internet’s already loud enough.

What sets us apart?

We’re not here to #disrupt the design industry. We just build things that don’t make people rage-quit their own product.

Design Without the Drama

No mood boards for mood’s sake. We design to make things usable, sellable, and occasionally memeable.

Small Team, Big Brain Energy

You won’t deal with an “account manager.” You’ll talk to the people who actually design and ship the thing.

Always On Your Six

We work like your in-house team — if your in-house team actually met deadlines and cared about kerning.

End-to-End Doesn’t Mean Endless

From MVPs to brand launches, we keep things lean, focused, and free from agency bullcrap.

4 Days, Full Output

We’re testing a 4-day workweek because burnout isn’t a flex.
Turns out, great work shows up when people actually rest.
